Ketche is the director of the Turkish love drama In Good Hands. Melisa discovers she has a terminal illness and that she only has roughly five months to live at the start of the movie. She chooses laughter over the gloomy stillness that follows such news. Melisa was more concerned about her son, Can, who had no one else to care for him the way his mother did, than she was about how many days she had left. Can was likewise uninformed about his mother’s condition. Melisa and Can met Firat, a well-known businessman whose image was prominently displayed in all trade publications. Firat and Melisa had an uncomfortable first encounter, but through time, they grew to be quite close.
In Good Hands Plot Summary: How Did Melisa And Firat Fall In Love?
Melisa found Firat while looking for someone to look after her son. Whenever she turned, his face would emerge, and she made the decision to give this relationship a shot. Melisa went into the body of water because she was determined to get the cloth from the water. She swam while grabbing the cloth. Firat, meanwhile, leapt in to protect Melisa from any harm. The two arrived home in the morning drenched in water, and Can was upset with his mother for going back on her word.
Firat fell in love with Melisa as soon as he realised how far she would go for the people she loved. Can, however, resisted accepting any man as his father. He could not conceive of anyone else interfering with his relationship with his mother, who was his closest friend. Due to the fact that Firat was exceedingly disrespectful to Can at their first encounter, he did not like Firat. Can was not the easiest person to win over, despite Firat’s best efforts to do so by bringing him out to dinner and even to a race. Firat bought him a puppy that may be a friend in order to help him accept him. When Can witnessed Firat defend his mother from a lewd man at the restaurant where Melisa worked, he was just impressed. The Plot Twist: Who Was Can s Father?
Melisa informed Firat that Can’s father passed away one night when he was out purchasing tissue paper rolls in response to his question concerning Can’s fixation with tissue paper. Can was fearful that his mother may abandon him after hearing about this occurrence, and for that reason, he always made sure to keep enough tissue paper rolls on hand. When Can met the man his mother had identified as his late father, the plot took an unexpected turn.
One day Can was caught off guard when he saw his father driving. He recognised the man as his deceased father, who was directly in front of him. When he contacted, the man did not identify Can as being his son. Melisa made the decision to take advantage of the fact that the man in issue was a friend who had long since moved to Germany. Firat was present to see this happen. In the confusion, Melisa passed out on the highway. Two things were clear as a result of this incident: first, Melisa was ill; and second, Can was not related to the man he had always thought of as his father. Since Melisa never brought up her terminal sickness, Firat felt betrayed. He thought Melisa had some huge scheme in mind, and that she had picked on him, the businessman, to take care of Can. She ultimately made the decision to reveal the truth because she could no longer bear the blame of deception and treachery.
Can’s birth father was Firat. Melisa met Firat in the club, and the two of them ended up spending the night together after having a few too many drinks. After purchasing some snacks and tissue paper rolls, Firat had promised to go back to Melisa’s house, but he never did. Melisa had attempted to contact Firat after learning of her pregnancy, but he was constantly busy. Thus, when she eventually ran into him after all these years, she made the decision to tell him the truth. At this crucial point in her life, she raised her son alone, yet she felt the need to tell people the truth.
In Good Hands Ending Explained: Did Firat Accept Can As His Son?
The truth was a battle for Firat. It took him a while to realise that he was a father and that the mother of his child was gravely ill. He eventually turned around, though, and made the decision to take responsibility of his family. They attempted to make the most of their limited time by spending the night together despite realising that they hardly had any.
The tissue paper rolls were gone and Melisa had left a diary when Firat awoke the following morning. Because Can’s father had made the decision to be with his son, she got rid of the paper rolls because they served as a memory of him. Melisa choose to depart from them. Melisa goes towards the water from the beginning of the movie until the very last frame, when we see that she has vanished and only her shoes remain. She may have opted for a painless demise.
Can struggled to express his sorrow since, without his mother, he felt broken. Firat gave him his mother’s diary, which was filled with hand-drawn pictures of the things she saw and the people she cared about. Can welcomed Firat into his apartment, albeit he had made some restrictions beforehand to make things simpler. Can found a confidant in Firat, just as his mother had hoped.
With amusing parts and a devastating conclusion, In Good Hands tries to juggle too many different emotions. Although the actors does a great job, the story’s repeated turns appear superfluous and excessive.
