Rajinikanth undergoes surgery, recovering well

CHENNAI: Actor Rajinikanth on Friday underwent a procedure to get blocks removed from the major blood vessels in the neck that supply blood to the brain, neck and face. A medical bulletin from Kauvery Hospital said he is recovering well and is likely to be discharged in a few days.
The bulletin said Rajinikanth was admitted to the hospital on Thursday following an "episode of giddiness". “He was thoroughly evaluated by an expert panel of doctors and was advised to undergo carotid artery revascularization,” it said.
